Think of your doula as your personal birth guide. We normalize the physiological birth process, explaining exactly how your hormones, muscles, and contractions are working together so you and your partner both know what is coming next. This education completely normalizes the intense sensations of labor, shifting your mindset from a place of fear to a place of trust in your body. Beyond that mental reassurance, we are physically right there with you the whole time, using hands-on comfort tricks. This continuous, comforting care creates major clinical shifts! Studies have shown having this kind of dedicated support actually shortens labor, cuts down on medical interventions, and lowers the chance of an unexpected Cesarean by about 39%. (Bohren et al., 2017)

Private Pay Clients- $1600

After our initial consultation to make sure we are a good fit, I offer 2 prenatal visits where we can talk about all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I will provide education and resources if needed. My goal during prenatal visits is to make sure you feel confident with your choices and understand the physiological birthing process. My goal is to support you whether you have plans to be induced, aiming for a VBAC, want an epidural, or planning a home-birth. We will go over ways to support your physical and emotional well-being at the end of pregnancy to prepare for birth and go over some tools I keep in my doula bag. I am also available for call/text support upon hire! Starting at 37 weeks I will go on call for your birth. I will attend your labor when you need me and will stay for 1-2 hours postpartum after birth. I offer 2 postpartum visits to check on your well-being, assess how breastfeeding is going (if you choose to do that) and we can debrief your birth experience. During the postpartum visits, I can help with light house keeping and tasks around the house!

Medicaid- No out of pocket!

I am a Medicaid-approved provider, which means your Medicaid benefits cover your birth support services without any out of pocket costs! Your coverage includes an initial intake, continuous birth support, one postpartum visit, and up to 20 additional hours of support based on your individual needs. These additional hours can be used for things such as prenatal education, emotional support, newborn and postpartum guidance, breastfeeding support, processing your birth experience, and helping you adjust to life with your new baby. You can use your additional hours up to one year postpartum. My goal is to work with you to make the most of the support available through your Medicaid benefits while providing personalized care that meets your needs throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I love individualizing care based on the unique needs, preferences, and circumstances of each person and family!
